Monument to Victor Emmanuel:

Rome's Monument to Victor Emanuel was built to commemorate the Unification of Italy and now houses the interesting Unification museum. Half-way up the large staircase is the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier and the colonnade at the top of the monument boasts some beautiful ceiling decoration. From the top of the monument there are excellent views across the Roman Forum and the Colosseum in one direction and of Saint Peter’s in the other....
